Ambassador Obsitnik Recaps Successful NATO Summit on Popular Political Talk Show

The all-news cable network TA3 hosted Ambassador Vincent Obsitnik on April 7 on its popular “Theme of the Day” program. Ambassador Obsitnik spoke about the strengthening of the Alliance through enlargement, which admitted Croatia and Albania for accession talks, and the renewed commitment to success in Afghanistan as demonstrated by the adoption of a “Strategic Vision” for ISAF. In answer to a question the moderator asked on whether missile defense could fail in the Czech Republic, Ambassador Obsitnik spoke about the resounding endorsement by NATO members for U.S. contributions to an integrated NATO defense system -- a response to recognized threats.
