Ambassador Vallee Discusses American Cooperation with Local Business Incubator

Ambassador Rodolphe M. Vallee and several U.S. Embassy representatives visited the University Technology Incubator (UTI) founded by the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. Established in 2005, UTI is an interface between university research and the business world. The July 10th visit provided a forum for Ambassador Vallee and the various firms participating in the incubator to discuss their progress and goals for the future. The firms involved with UTI produce commercial uses of technology in many areas including biotechnology, computer software, fingerprint recognition software, and security systems. Each firm gave a presentation outlining their current projects. The dialogue that followed between the Embassy representatives, the leaders of the Incubator, and the entrepreneurs themselves explored opportunities for American cooperation and the overall functioning of the incubator.
