American Contemporary Gospel Music by “Third Day” Rocks Slovak Teenagers at Trnava Festival

The Embassy supported an international festival of contemporary gospel music called LUMEN May 29-31 in Trnava, bringing to the Slovak stage the American group, Third Day. The Lumen festival is in its 17th year of offering two days of concerts, workshops and dance performances. In spite of the rainy weather, about 6,000 young people attended the open-air concert in downtown Trnava. The multi-platinum-selling rock band Third Day has played to millions of fans in numerous arenas around the world. It’s won 25 No. 1 singles across multiple formats - not to mention Grammy and Dove Awards. Billboard magazine described the act as "not only one of the best Christian bands of the '90s but one of the best rock bands, period."
