Chargé d’Affaires discusses missile defense on TA3’s Téma dňa

Chargé d´affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Slovakia Keith Eddins spoke September 19 on news channel TA3’s program “Téma dňa” about the American decision to strengthen missile defense in Europe but not to immediately build missile defense shield elements in Poland and the Czech Republic. He emphasized that the U.S. was moving forward on missile defense plans in close coordination with all of our NATO allies. He explained the decision not to build the missile defense shield as it had been planned was due to a change in the perceived threat and technological considerations.
