Chargé leads DVC discussion on missile defense with Banská Bystrica students

Chargé d’Affaires Keith Eddins led an hour-long discussion October 7 with nine university students and graduates who are also members of the Euro-Atlantic Center in Banska Bystrica. The lively debate was conducted via digital video conference, originating from the US Embassy in Bratislava. The Bratislava American Reference Center provided the students with President Obama’s September 17 remarks on „Strengthening Missile Defense in Europe“ and two articles from „Foreign Affairs“ and „Foreign Policy.“ Participants considered the discussion productive and would like to do a series of discussion programs on current international affairs topics during the new school year.
