Charge Keith Eddins Engages with Students at State Library and Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica

On a visit to the State Scientific Library in Banská Bystrica February 25, Charge d’affaires Keith Eddins spokes about the new Obama Administration and the current financial crisis to students from the Evanjelické gymnázium and Gymnázium Orbis Eruditionis. The discussion was organized by InfoUSA Banská Bystrica, an information center housed at the Library. Later in the day, Mr. Eddins delivered a lecture, “President Obama’s Emerging Foreign Policy,” for an audience of 60 international relations students at the University of Matej Bel. He was welcomed to the faculty by Vice-Dean Dr. Branislav Kováčik, Euro-Atlantic Center representative and co-organizer of visit, Róbert Dikan and Euro-Atlantic Center vice-president Dávid Kollár. While in Banska Bystrica, Mr. Eddins also met with representatives of five Roma non-government organizations at the “Free Time Center.”
