Correcting or Amending a Consular Report of Birth Abroad
The U.S. Embassy or Consulate does not maintain copies of
Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBA) once they have been issued. These records are forwarded to the Department
of State in Washington, D.C.
Therefore, persons seeking to correct or amend a previously-issued CRBA
should make a request to the Department of State. Click here
for the latest instructions on making such a request.
