Embassy Celebrates Earth Day at International Festival of Film and Adventure, “Hory a mesto”

The Embassy supported Bratislava’s international festival of film and adventure called “Hory a mesto” (Mountains and City) at Aupark cinemas April 23-26. The program of the festival included film screenings, various expert presentations, and games and attractions for children. This year three American guests appeared before the festival audience, which includes several hundred young people, mountaineers, extreme sportsmen and women and wildlife enthusiasts. These special guests were: Steph Davis, American rock climber, who writes about rock climbing, BASE jumping, wingsuit flying, and wild places; Anna Cosentine, who brought her personal story of the time, energy and rewards of building a self-sufficient earthship; and professional rock climber Chris Sharma.
