Ten Embassy officers took time from their busy schedules April 30 to meet with Slovak secondary school students from Bratislava to Košice, in a program celebrating President Obama’s first 100 days in office. The questions ranged from Kosovo to study in the U.S. to Slovak beer. Political Counselor Susan Ball spoke with students in Trebišov, as reported by Korzár daily newspaper She told the reporter that the students took her aback with their direct questions and opinions, asking about international issues the U.S. is involved in. The Embassy’s Information Management Officer Tim DeMerse spoke to a group of more than 100 students in Trnava and had to remain extra time to answer all the questions.
