Embassy Sponsors Hungarian-Slovak Big Band Jazz Evening with RaRa Musica.
Cooperation between language and ethnic groups starts with communication. The American Embassy is sponsoring such communication -- through music -- on December 2, when Matúš Jakabčic's CZ-SK Big Band, with Hungarian jazz trumpeter Kornél Fekete-Kovács as special guest, perform a jazz evening at Studio 12 in Bratislava. Ambassador Rodolphe M. Vallee and the Hungarian Embassy's Cultural Attache Andras Agh will host the concert by 15 musicians. The program is organized by RaRa Musica, which promotes collaboration between Hungarian and Slovak people through culture. This is the third concert held under the auspices of Hungarian Foreign Minister Kinga Göncz and Slovak Foreign Minister Ján Kubiš, along with Deputy Prime Minister Dusan Caplovic and Minister of Culture Marek Madaric.
