Ambassador Rodolphe Vallee Visits Košice Region

On an official visit September 27-28 to the Kosice region of Eastern Slovakia, Ambassador Rodolphe Vallee pursued the Embassy's agenda in the areas of minority integration, support for educational institutions and encouragement of young leaders. Roma citizens of Hlinne showed him and Embassy personnel new housing built, in part, by Roma carpenters. On the 60th anniversary of the State Scientific Library in Kosice, the Ambassador announced the donation of digital video equipment to the InfoUSA center at the Library. He also met with Kosice Mayor Ing. Frantisek Knapik, Head of Kosice regional government Zdenko Trebul'a and about 100 Young Slovak Leaders from business, NGOs and government.
