Daniel Pearl World Music Days

At the Franciscan Church of the Virgin Mary in Skalica on Sunday, October 8, the Information Officer Keith Hughes from the U.S. Embassy in Bratislava joined Mayor Stanislav Chovanec and composer Stanislav Surin and people all over the world to participate in World Music Days, commemorating the anniversary of Daniel Pearl's death at the hands of terrorists in Pakistan in 2002. Inspired by the legacy of Daniel Pearl and held every year in October, World Music Days unites thousands of musicians and audiences from over 60 countries in a global network of concerts promoting Harmony for Humanity. The program of spiritual music, attended by an audience of over 150 affirmed our cooperative commitment to tolerance and humanity.
