State Scientific Library and U.S. Embassy continue InfoUSA Program
On Wednesday January 17, the U.S. Embassy represented by Public Affairs Officer,
Ed Kemp and the State Scientific Library in Kosice, represented by the Director
of the State Scientific Library, JUDr. Jan Gaspar, signed a revised Memorandum
of Understanding to continue their partnership in the information and cultural
center known as InfoUSA Kosice. The Embassy and the State Scientific Library in
Kosice have cooperatively run the Info USA study room since March 2004. The
collaboration has provided residents of Kosice a readily accessible window onto
U.S. culture, politics, history and current events. The memorandum signed by the
two institutions has cemented cooperation for a further three years.
