U.S. Air Force Band to Celebrate July Fourth with Concert in Bratislava

Touch 'n Go, the popular music ensemble of the United States Air Forces in Europe Band will perform on July 4th at 20:00 on Hviezdoslavovo Namestie. Their play list includes the best of rock, country, pop, and R & B covering the complete spectrum of American popular music. Formed in 1976, Touch 'n Go has thrilled millions, performing throughout Europe, Scandinavia and southwest Asia providing troop support and theater engagement in public concerts, festivals, and at embassy and military functions. Their extensive touring schedule reaches out musically and geographically to bring the sound of America to service members and civilian audiences overseas. Touch 'n Go represent the cutting edge and the golden past of American popular music and its Air Force making their performances a unique and exciting musical experience.

Under the leadership of Conductor David Morales, the Cantare Con Vivo Choir from Oakland, California joined the Bohuslav Martin Philharmonic from Zlin and Slovak soloist Martin Mikuš to perform Ernest Bloch’s “Avodat HaKodesh” at a benefit concert at Slovak Radio on June 22. (more)

The Pittsburgh Agreement began its stay on June 9 at the Slovak National Museum in Bratislava , where the historic document will be on display as part of the Museum's “Ako sme žili?”/“How did we live?” exhibit of Slovakia in the 20th century until the end of September. (more)
