"Imagine America": Slovak, American Photos in 9/11 Exhibit at Embassy

Martin Kollár

Born November 23, 1971 in Žilina. He studied camera at the Film Faculty of the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava. He participated in the artist-in-residence program in Syracuse (USA), and in 1999 he received the scholarship for young artists, Pépiniéres Européennes (Luxemburg).He has received several national and international prizes for photography. He works as a photographer and cameraman. Since 1997 he has exhibited at the House of Photography in Poprad, Bratislava (SK), Prague, Ostrava (CZ), in Luxemburg and in Lyon. His book A Pictorial Report on the State of the Country -Slovakia 2001 was published in 2001. He lives and works in Bratislava.
