New York Jazz Pianist Appears at Nu Spirit Bar, with Embassy Support

New York pianist and songwriter Jon Regen (www.jonregen.com)  and his trio played his first Slovak gig May 14 in the Nu Spirit Bar in Bratislava. Jon is currently touring Europe to promote his second album,"Let It Go," with other venues to  include the famous Joe Zawinul's Birdland club in Vienna. Approximately 50 people filled the small underground cellar of the Nu Spirit, one of Bratislava's few clubs specializing in jazz in all its forms.  Jon moves effortlessly between jazz and pop with a strong emphasis on the melody, attractive to many others beyond die-hard jazz fans. The performance was supported with a cultural grant from the Embassy.
