U.S. State Department to Release Annual Human Rights Report Today

The annual Country Reports on Human Rights Practices will be released today (February 25) in Washington, DC. The country reports, including the one for the Slovak Republic, will be available on the U.S. State Department website, http://www.state.gov, shortly after 8:30 p.m. today, Bratislava time.
The worldwide Human Rights Report is mandated by the U.S. Congress and is designed to be a balanced, accurate and comprehensive review of human rights conditions in each country, based on a wide variety of sources. The Human Rights Report is widely accepted as an authoritative document on human rights practices and is frequently cited by official and private human rights organizations worldwide.
