Scheduling a Visa Interview

In general, all visa applicants must appear in person for an interview. The only exceptions are:

  • Children under age 14; (however, at least one parent or legal guardian must appear for an interview when applying for a visa for a child under age 14;)
  • Applicants who are over age 80 (a family member may submit the application packet on their behalf ; and
  • Applicants for diplomatic or official visas, which should be submitted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In addition, children aged 14 to 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Once you have made your appointment, be sure to print out the appointment information and include it with your Application Packet.  Bring it with you on the date of your appointment.
