A(H1N1) Influenza

Vaccination in Slovakia: The government of Slovakia is currently in negotiations to purchase one million doses of the H1N1 vaccine. There is no official word yet on when it will be available, but it will probably only be provided at first to those most at risk (young children, pregnant women, and the chronically ill.) Contact of the Public Health Authority.

In Hungary, a vaccine for H1N1 is available to the public by prescription only. This vaccine was produced in Hungary, is not available in any other country, and is not FDA-approved. In Austria, the H1N1 vaccine Celvapan is available to anyone living in Austria who wishes to receive it. Celvapan is manufactured in Austria and the Czech Republic by the U.S. company Baxter, and is not FDA-approved because it is not available in the United States.
