Slovak and American Business Students Discuss the Investment Climate in Slovakia

In its ongoing efforts to increase educational exchanges between Slovakia and the United States at all levels, Embassy Bratislava brought together 40 students of business and finance from the Southwest Minnesota State University and Economic University in Bratislava via video conference on November 20 to discuss the business and investment climate in Slovakia. Joining the students were Professor George Seldat, Economic Officer William Laitinen and American Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jake Slegers. What followed was an extremely informative dialogue on the competitive nature of attracting investment to a country in general and Slovakia’s relative strengths and weaknesses in that framework. The students from both universities gained valuable knowledge to guide them as they prepare to join the job market and put their academic skills to real-world use. This video conference should be the first in a series
