Slovak Citizens to Travel Visa-Free to the U.S. on November 17

On October 28, at a press conference at the Bôrik Hotel with Minister of Interior Robert Kaliňák, Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff announced the expansion of the Visa Waiver Program to include citizens and nationals of the Slovak Republic. Visa-free travel will begin on November 17th. In his remarks, Secretary Chertoff recognized the significance of October 28 and November 17 in Slovak and Czech history, and went on to say the admission of Slovakia into the Visa Waiver Program is a further symbol of shared respect for freedom that underpins our two countries’ friendship. To travel on the Visa Waiver Program, you will need a biometric passport, an electronic travel authorization (ESTA) and your trip must be 90 days or less.
