"SME" Devotes Full Page to Fulbright

"SME" devoted a full page in its September 11 cultural section to the Fulbright Program and its 15th anniversary in Slovakia. The article described the different scholarship programs and featured photos of four alumni, former Labor Minister Iveta Radičová, Vice Dean at the VSMU Zuzana Gindl-Tatárová, former PR Director at T-Com Juraj Droba and Vice Dean at the Prešov University Iveta Kovalčíková. "The goal of the program is to actively seek out individuals who not only are high achievers and motivated but also are curious and interested in education and represent a wide diversity of communities," said Nora Hložeková, Director of the Slovak Fulbright Commission, in the article. During the past 15 years 247 Slovaks and 224 Americans have taken part in Fulbright programs. More information about the Fulbright Program can be found at http://www.fulbright.sk
