Information for Relatives of US Citizens
 

If your petition was approved, please schedule an appointment with the Embassy. For your interview, please prepare and bring the following documents:

  • Valid passport;
  • Originals of all documents;
  • Birth certificate;
  • Marriage certificate;
  • Original of any divorce decrees, death certificates, or annulment decrees that would show that any previous marriage entered into by you or your spouse was ended legally;
  • 2 photos;
  • Medical exam;
  • Police report, not older than 6 months, for all applicants older than 16 years of age, from all countries where they lived for more than 12 months except USA and from the country of permanent residence;
  • Court and prison records;
  • Deportation papers ;
  • Military service information;
  • Form DS-230 part I and II;
  • Fees;
  • Affidavit of Support Form I-864 , not older than 6 months+ sponsor´s tax return for the last year;
  • Insured envelope

All documents not in English, or in official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified English translations. Translations must be certified by competent translator.
