Young Slovak Professionals Gather to Launch New Website Highlighting Experience Abroad

Young Slovak professionals, joined by former Slovak Ambassador to the United States, Martin Bútora, gathered on Tuesday July 24 for a reception at Ambassador Rodolphe M. Vallee’s residence. These motivated young businessmen and women unveiled plans to form an association called Slovensko Naše that will encourage other young Slovak professionals with experience abroad to put their skill sets to use either in Slovakia or for the good of the nation. The group had the opportunity to speak with various representatives of the Embassy, as well as many influencial Slovaks including members of Parliament, the Ministry of Defense, US Steel, the National Council, and Slovenská sporiteľňa. Ambassador Vallee and Ambassador Martin Bútora, both spoke words offering active support for Slovensko Naše’s aims. The reception also served as the launch of a new website, which will be a forum for Slovaks who have worked or studied abroad to share their experiences and use them to enrich Slovakia.
